Jonesboro Church Health Center

JONESBORO, Ark. (May 30, 2019)– Today, Jonesboro Church Health Center officially kicked off the annual Peach Drive, the only fundraiser for the clinic.

 

Since 1992, the Jonesboro Church Health Center has offered a ministry of healing, help and hope to meet the healthcare needs of those who simply cannot afford healthcare in Jonesboro and the surrounding communities.  In order for the center to continue to provide the level of care and services it has provided for years, the group is hosting this fundraiser.  

 

We are selling boxes of delicious Georgia peaches for a donation of $125. With the funds we raise, we can continue to provide care to individuals such as Melissa Douthitt.

 

“The Jonesboro Church Health Center means so much to this community and to me personally,” said Melissa Douthitt.  “As a diabetic, when I found out I no longer had insurance coverage, I was scared. The staff at Jonesboro Church Health Center have been wonderful and they have helped me in so many ways.  I really feel like I owe my life to them!”  

 

We are grateful to those of you who have bought peaches in the past, and hope you will do so again this year.  The deadline for this year’s order is July 15, 2019, and we will deliver your box of peaches to your door in the first weeks of August.  We appreciate your donation of $125 per box, a portion of which is tax-deductible. Any donation is appreciated. 

 

Those who want to pick up their peaches can do so at First Community Bank located at 630 Southwest Drive after 9:00 a.m. on the delivery date.  All payments and inquiries should be directed to Jones & Company at 870-935-2871.

 

The Jonesboro Church Health Center, a non-profit health clinic based in Jonesboro,  Arkansas, provides low cost, high quality medical care to the low income, uninsured citizens of Jonesboro and its surrounding areas through the generosity of donors and volunteers.
